Cheryl Amatucci – March 2025

A distinguished alumna of Rutherford High School with a lifelong affinity for art and craftsmanship. Driven by a deep passion for jewelry and metalwork, she pursued her education in the field, refining her skills and exploring the delicate interplay between design and function. Alongside her degree in jewelry & metal arts, she developed a profound love for painting, expertly manipulating color and texture to bring her creative visions to life.

Now a dedicated educator, she imparts her artistic expertise and zeal to students at Hoboken High School, inspiring them to embrace their creativity while emphasizing technique and self-expression. In the classroom, she helps her students hone their artistic voices and fosters a deep appreciation for the arts.

While her artistic journey began with metalwork, she has since discovered a love for the world of color and paint. Her paintings dance with vibrant hues and dynamic textures, embodying the energy and spirit of her natural inspirations. Nature is her muse, and landscapes, seascapes, and wildlife frequently find their way into her work.

Despite the challenges of balancing her roles as a parent, full-time teacher, and artist, she remains committed to her craft, creating stunning pieces in as little as three hours. Her paintings are a testament to her talent and dedication, offering viewers a captivating and vibrant sanctuary that showcases her deep connection to the natural world.
