Founded in 2019, the Rutherford Arts Council is a 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to support and promote arts and culture within the Rutherford, NJ community.

RAC Founded
The Rutherford Arts Council is founded to bring arts programming to Rutherford, NJ.
May 2020
First Mural Installed
After a fire broke out at local restaurant Jim Dandy’s, the RAC organized an uplifting community mural on the shuttered storefront.
March 2021
Inagural Youth Art Banner Program
Streetlight banners designed by local children are installed along Park Avenue by RAC and the borough of Rutherford.
June 2021
Save The Williams Center
Rutherford Arts Council members organize a rally to save the Williams Center.
March 2022
First Grant
RAC receives it’s first Bergen County Arts Grant to help fund Rutherford’s first PRIDE & Art Festival.

Inaugural Rutherford Pride Fest
Rutherford Arts Council in coordination with Rutherford Pride present the first ever Rutherford Pride Festival.
