The Rutherford Arts Council proudly presents The February Open, a one day pop-up exhibition on Saturday, February 7th at the First Presbyterian Church of Rutherford located at 1 East Passaic Ave, Rutherford, NJ 07070. This open theme exhibition is open to New Jersey based artists working in two and three dimensions. The deadline to submit for this show is Tuesday, January 20th.
If selected by the jury, you will:

Eligibility Criteria
This opportunity is for 2D and 3D artists currently living or working in New Jersey.
Size
Artwork should be no larger than 40″ in any direction
Artwork Date
There is no limit to the artwork creation year, however newer work will be given preference.
Originality and Rights
Artworks must be entirely the work of the entrant. Entries must not be copies of other copyrighted or published paintings, photographs etc. Entries must not be created using generative AI.
Artwork Photos
Only the artwork should show in the photo. No frames or background should show with the exception for a simple background behind sculptural works. Submitted photos should be 72 dpi and 1024px on the longest dimension. Please name files as follows (first-last-title.jpg)
Invited artists might be asked for high-resolution artwork photos, if needed.
Number of Artworks
Artists can submit up to 6 pieces of original artwork. The artworks are subject to selection, and a maximum of three artworks may be selected from the chosen artists.
Artwork Content
This is a family friendly event taking place at a house of worship. Artworks that, in the reasonable view of the organizer, include pornography, violence, bigotry or any inappropriate and/or offensive content, are not admissible.
